The Golden Urban Renewal Authority will meet tonight at 6:30 in City Council Chambers. Equity Ventures–the company that built the new Natural Grocers store–will report on the project and verify that they have met the terms that will qualify them for a TIF agreement. The new artwork to be attached to the Natural Grocers store will also be discussed.
The board will authorize their chair to sign documents which will convey lots 2 and 4 (12th and Jackson and 13th and Jackson) to a developer. They will also review public financing for a planned development at West Colfax and I-70.
GURA meetings are not yet being broadcast through the city website, but their meeting packet is available online.
Tomorrow night we’ll have a Golden Beer Talk at Windy Saddle Cafe. This month’s beer will come from Cannonball Creek. The speaker will be University of Denver historian Bill Philpott, who will tell the surprising history of I-70.
