The Colorado Dept of Public Health has had trouble with their tracking software, with the result taht Jefferson County hasn’t published COVID updates for the past two weeks. They posted some this week, but included a warning that they were missing many cases from March 1-14.

Golden History Moment

The March 26, 1971 Golden Daily Transcript expressed frustration with our downtown movie theater. The theater had been open for a few weeks in January, showing the movie Airplane. Posters at that time indicated that Patton would be coming soon, but the theater remained closed, and the owner was unreachable.
The theater was open on and off–at one point showing X rated films–until 1975, when the Foss company bought the building and turned it into retail and office space. Fast forward 50 years, and the building now houses Okinawa Sushi, Starbucks, and Snarf’s on the first floor and offices above.
