The Lookout Mountain Nature Center is offering a Grandparents-Grandchildren nature walk today at 1. Enjoy the naturalist-guided walk through their ponderosa pine forest and help the next generation start learning the local flora and fauna.
The Quilt Museum is hosting a book-signing party at 2, with best-selling author Sandra Dallas. Ms. Dallas is a long-time supporter of the Quilt Museum. Her latest book, True Sisters, is about four women who participated in the disastrous handcart journey in 1856 as Mormons were making the trek to Utah. Enjoy hearing from and meeting the author, and at the same time get a sneak preview of the museum’s new exhibit, Dazzling Domestics, which officially opens this Tuesday.
