Trains, Politics, and Fairy Tales

The Railroad Museum starts their annual celebration, “Black on Track” today.  At 10, 11, 12, and 1, they’ll be showing a 25 minute documentary that looks back on Five Points’ glory days as a mecca of great  jazz, food, and culture.  The neighborhood was largely settled by black railroad workers.  This is also “Ride the Rails” Saturday, so visitors will have the chance to ride behind one of the museum’s coal or diesel engines, or in a Galloping Goose!

Grateful Bread, a wholesale bakery in Golden that provides custom handmade artisan breads for dozens of Denver’s top restaurants and hotels will host its first public retail day of the year today from 10-2.
