| Mayor Sloan announced the name of our new City Manager last night. Jason Slowinski is currently the Village Manager for Lake Zurich, Illinos (population 20,000), where he has worked since 2012. Mr. Slowinski has a law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago and BS in Business Administration from University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Mr. Slowinski needs to finish up with his current job and will get here later this summer, along with his wife and two daughters, ages 10 and 6. Mike Bestor will retire at the end of July, and Steve Glueck will fill in during the interim. They showed a nifty video about Mr. Slowinski at last night’s council meeting. It will probably be on the City website sometime today, so check the home page for a possible sighting. |
