Tomorrow night is everyone’s favorite event dedicated to a mythical, hairy beast: it’s Yeti Night at the Mountaineering Museum! Head to the Mountaineering Museum (710 10th St. – map) from 6-9 for a fun night of music, brews, mask-making, storytelling and more. Miners Alley Playhouse presents a special 3 night only run of Clarence Darrow. This one-man play in two acts based on Clarence Darrow for the Defense by Irving Stone is a reminiscence of the unpopular cases in which the famous attorney was involved, the events of his personal life and his opinions about contemporary events. Clarence Darrow’s work in the courtroom impacted the social, political and cultural fabric of the early part of the 20th century. Fighting for labor reform, racial equality, the teaching of evolution in our public schools and challenging the death penalty were the hallmarks of a brilliant legal career.
