WHAT’S HAPPENING IN GOLDEN TODAY?
8-9AM What’s Brewing Golden @ Golden Hotel
This month’s What’s Brewing Golden Spotlight Speaker is Megan Pinson, Community Marketing Manager of Visit Golden. Megan will talk about what Visit Golden and what it does to promote Golden to residents, regional visitors, and out-of-state travelers.
You will also hear an update from City Council, DDA, City of Golden Police, and the Chamber, along with a Spotlight Speaker. What’s Brewing Golden not only offers an opportunity to hear from the City and Chamber, but is a great way for our business community to connect to one another and support one another.
This meeting is open to all businesses within the Golden area but with a focus on small businesses and restaurants within the City limits of Golden. This meeting is provided as a service by the Golden Chamber of Commerce. Chamber membership is highly encouraged but is not required to attend. Guests are welcome. Thank you to our generous host and coffee provider, The Golden Hotel!

GOLDEN HISTORY MOMENT
The May 16, 1975 Colorado Transcript announced the grand opening of the Golden Coin-Op Laundry and Dry Cleaners. It operated at 1100 Arapahoe until 2017, when the laundromat closed and the building was converted into Colorado +49 Cidery. The Cidery has since closed and its next incarnation is expected to be a wings restaurant.
Thanks to the Golden History Museum for providing the online cache of historic Transcripts, and to the Golden Transcript for documenting our history since 1866!
