6:30PM Business Meeting

Public Comment:

The meeting begins with public comment. If you want to address Council, you will have three minutes to speak. Any public comments received by email before 3PM will be posted in the meeting packet after 3 (so check back then!).

Items on the Consent Agenda are considered non-controversial, not needing discussion. Everything in this section will be approved at once, with one vote. Any councilor wishing to discuss one of the issues can request that it be removed from the consent agenda and discussed and voted on separately. These are the items on the Consent Agenda:

  • Granting Mines a pedestrian right-of-way along the edge of the Fossil Trace golf club. More info.
  • IGA to share a data collection system with the City of Arvada and the Arvada Fire Protection district. This system helps the co-responders, who work with first responders when social services are required. More info.
  • Purchase three tractors at a total cost of $175,559.88. More info.
  • Increasing the size of a public utility easement at 311 10th St. (the new City Hall). More info.

Public Hearing - Rezoning the Golden Terrace Mobile Home Community

The City wants to rezone the Golden Terrace Mobile Home & RV Park. In changing it from C-1 (commercial) and PUD to entirely PUD, they hope to preserve some of the City's "naturally occurring" affordable housing. Learn more.

Adapting a Transportation Demand Management Plan

A Transportation Demand Management Plan is designed to wean Golden's population from reliance on cars. Businesses and developers that meet certain requirements (such a providing bike racks or bus passes) may be allowed to provide fewer parking spaces. The new Clayworks development has a transportation demand management plan, so we'll all be able to see how that works as they complete their build-out. Learn more.
