The 5th Annual DocuWest Film Festival starts tonight at the American Mountaineering Center (10th and Washington), with Good Ol’ Frieda.
Freda Kelly was just a shy Liverpudlian teenager when she was asked to work for a local band hoping to make it big. As the Beatles’ loyal and devoted secretary and friend, Freda tells her stories for the first time in 50 years. One of few documentaries with support of the living Beatles and featuring original Beatles music, the film offers a unique insider perspective on the beloved band.
Mayor Sloan will host an Opening Reception from 6:30-7:30. The film will run from 7:30 till 9.
