Tonight, we’ll be revving up for tomorrow’s USA Pro Cycling Challenge race.
There will be a bike race up Lookout Mountain this afternoon. The preliminaries start at 3, at the pillars at the start of the Lariat Loop Road (west end of 19th street). The riders will start up the hill at 4. The race will be done as individual time trials.
The awards ceremony for the hill climb will start at 7:30 in Lions Park (west end of 10th Street). It will be followed by the movie, Breaking Away. The movie will start at dusk–probably about 8:30. Bring a lawn chair or blanket!
There will also be a bike-themed block party in downtown Golden (Washington Avenue) from 5 till 9. Come on down, and enjoy live music and local food.
