Leadership Golden is now accepting applications for their 2013-2014 class.
Leadership Golden was established in 1984, to encourage more people to take part in the Golden community. The annual 9-month program offers a series of classes that teach participants about local government, area history, cultural organizations, and the schools.
Leadership Golden is designed to help people learn about the opportunities to become involved in the community. Leadership Golden alumni serve on City Council and many of the city’s advisory boards, volunteer with the cultural organizations, support the schools, sell beer at First Fridays, staff the Visitors Center, and so much more.
(You’re surrounded by Leadership Golden people and you may not even realize it.)
If you’re interested in becoming more involved in the Golden community, Leadership Golden is a great way to start. Applications are available at their website and are due by August 1st.
Leadership Golden is holding a meet and greet this Thursday (7/11) from 5:30-7:30 at the Old Capitol Grill. Alumni are welcome to attend, as well as anyone who is interested in learning more about the program.
