Begin the day at the Farmer’s Market.  Should be lots of fresh local produce this time of year.

Thomas the Tank Engine is visiting the Colorado Railroad Museum again this weekend.  They may still have a few tickets left, so try their online ticket office or call the museum (303-279-4591) if you haven’t yet gone.  Here’s a cute story of one child’s visit last weekend:  A Day Out With Thomas

The Credit Union of Colorado is having a Shred-a-Thon to benefit higher education.  You can bring up to three cardboard boxes or trash bags full of all those important documents you’ve been meaning to get rid of.   They will securely shred them for you right there using mobile shredding trucks at the Colorado School of Mines parking lot at 18th and Washington Street.  Credit union staff will accept donations of any amount to fund scholarships and higher education.

End the day with the moving I Never Promised You a Rose Garden at the Miners Alley Playhouse.  Tonight’s performance includes a talk-back with the cast and director following the show.
