E-Days continues today, with historic mining demonstrations (jackleg drilling and hand steeling), a car show, a cardboard boat race, a carnival, and fireworks. Mines’ fireworks are really extraordinary. In keeping with their mining heritage, they use a lot of dynamite, and it’s very loud! Musicians from the Jefferson Symphony will give a recital tonight at 7PM, at the Methodist Church (1500 Ford St.). Tickets are $10.
