The forecast calls for another glorious day today! Get outside and enjoy it, if you can, because colder weather is on the way. There will be a community walk this afternoon, starting at 1, in the Heritage Dells neighborhood. Meet in the parking lot at Shelton Elementary (map).
We will have a fun and beautiful walk along a route that includes some of the oldest and most notable historic features of the Golden Community: an archaeological dig, gold rush remnants, ranches, mining, and theme parks. The walk will combine trail walking and some neighborhood street walking. The pace will be conversational and exploratory, as we will stop at various points to point out these historic features. Mileage: 3+
The Golden Gate Grange is hosting a Valentine’s Day dance tonight, from 8-11. Enjoy dancing, refreshments and live music. Back by popular acclaim, Magic Moments will entertain with hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s for your listening and dancing pleasure. Tickets are $12.50/person at the door. Miners Alley Children’s Theater is showing Rumpelstiltskin at 1PM and Miners Alley Playhouse is showing Love Letters at 7:30 this evening. Tomorrow at 6 they’ll be performing The Cripple of Inishmaan. (Busy Group!)
