W. Grover Coors, Ph.D, will give a lecture this after at 2, at the Foothills Art Center, on Coors Rosebud Pottery.  During Prohibition, Coors manufactured a number of non-beer products in order to stay afloat.  One of the most successful was their ceramics business.  Among the products they sold was Rosebud Pottery kitchenware.  The last Rosebud Pottery was made in the late 1930s, and it is now much prized by collectors.  This lecture is offered in conjunction with the Colorado Clay show, which will run at Foothills until August 30th.

The Soles 4 Souls community rally will be held today at the Golden Visitors Center from 4-6.

Dave Powers got some nice photos of the bike race yesterday.
