The Golden Tour of Solar Homes is today. Register at the Mountaineering Center (10th and Washington). The homes are located in Golden, Arvada, Denver, and Evergreen. This is a good opportunity to see solar installations, talk to the home owners, and discuss the available technologies with experts. The event website includes video tours of the homes.
Tonight, the Kiwanis Club is hosting their 40th annual Den Galbraith Wine Tasting event. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Clear Creek Jazz Quartet. Tickets are $30, and proceeds from this event fund scholarships for Golden High School students who want to attend the Colorado School of Mines.
Tonight is the final official Super Cruise of the season, though the classic car owners often show up on first Saturdays through the winter, if the weather is nice.
The Golden Gallop race is tomorrow. You can still register by going to Runners High (103 N. Rubey Drive) between 12:30-6:30 this afternoon. You can also register between 6:30 and 7:30 tomorrow morning at Parfet Park, prior to the start of the race.
