There are several interesting things to do today, though you may want to do them early, since the forecast calls for temperatures approaching 100 again.

The Farmers Market will run from 8-1.  You should go this week, because the market is cancelled next weekend in favor of Buffalo Bill Days.

The National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) visitors center is hosting an open house from 9-4.  Visitors of all ages are invited. You are welcome to explore the interactive exhibit hall, enjoy special presentations, take virtual tours of the facilities and engage in hands-on activities. Free. The Colorado Railroad Museum is doing one of their “Ride the Rails” days.  On the third Saturday of each month, you can catch a ride behind one of their steam or diesel locomotives in passenger cars from different eras in Colorado railroad history.
