Golden History Moment
Cannonball Creek Brewing is celebrating their 10th anniversary this weekend. While it may seem as if Golden has always been awash with craft breweries, it wasn’t always this way. Coors (never a craft brewery–always intent on large-scale production) was established in 1873. After that, we waited 120 years for Golden City Brewery, which opened in 1993.

The historic Colorado Transcripts and Golden Globes inform us that there was an earlier “Golden City Brewery” in the 1860s and the “Eagle Brewing Company” in the 1890s.
