This is how CSM observes Halloween

The Colorado School of Mines has a couple of interesting events scheduled this Saturday.  They’re having a “Haunted Physics Lab” in Friedhoff Hall, at noon. Witness a fire dancing Reuben’s Tube and an air powered ping-pong ball cannon. CSM Society of Physics students will show some larger demos, including a Frankenstein-esk electricity bolt contraption called a Jacob’s Ladder and a bed of nails, among others.  Friedhoff Hall is located in the Green Center (map).

At 7:30, two one-act plays will be performed in the Little Theater (also in the Green Center). The first is Shakespeare’s Inferno by Jessica Johnston and Kirby Ann Witte.  Shakespeare meets Dante in this one act about the happenings of Shakespeare’s characters when they are sent to Hell. Love, deception, and hysterical mayhem guide the characters through the circles of Hell in this divine comedy. The second is The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard. This “whodunit” murder mystery one act is filled with crazy misunderstandings, satire, and a play within a play (play-ception if you will). Tickets at the door for $5.00 (Since these are one-acts, Shakespeare’s Inferno will be performed first, then a brief intermission, and then The Real Inspector Hound will begin!)
