If you’re planning to attend the Golden Music Festival this weekend, you should buy your tickets today, before 4PM. They’re $15 in advance, and they’ll be $20 at the gate! Those are the single day, non-members prices. There are price breaks for museum members and for multi-day tickets. Visit their webpage and click on the big green “Order Now” button for significantly cheaper tickets.
City Council meets tonight at 6:30. It should be a fairly brief meeting, with most items being on the consent agenda. One item of note: five years ago, developers were planning to build a hotel and a few small businesses just off I-70 near Heritage Square. The sluggish economy put a stop to the project, but council has been asked to “ratify’ the plat that was submitted in 2008. Presumably, this means that the plan is alive again.
A study session after the meeting will discuss next steps on US 6 and Highway 93 road improvements. The meeting will be available to watch on cable channel 8 or through the city’s website.
