Our resident botanist, Tom Schweich, was traveling last week, so we were planning to do without our weekly dose of "What's Blooming Along Golden's Trails?" Fortunately, Greg Poulos sent this wonderful picture of flowers blooming on Schweich Hill.
Tom was kind enough to identify the blooms as follows:
Top Row:
- Dalmatian Toadflax. – /Linaria dalmatica/ (L.) Mill.
- Prairie Blue Flax – /Linum lewisii/ Pursh
- Wholeleaf Indian Paintbrush – /Castilleja integra/ A. Gray

Bottom Row:
- Sidebells Penstemon – /Penstemon secundiflorus/ Benth.
- Purple Locoweed – /Oxytropis lambertii/ Pursh
- Prairie Spiderwort – /Tradescantia occidentalis/ (Britton) Smyth.
- Sidebells Penstemon – /Penstemon secundiflorus/ Benth.
